We were set out to tell the stories of sisterhoods that defied the societal pressures and stuck together to follow their dreams. The stories showcases the youngest pop band, to the first Arab derby team, a game developer and techpreneur, and lastly the women behind the first abaya designed for cycling.
The first Arab derby team: Cairollers
“My brother was against it, he said girls shouldn’t play such a tough sport, girls should NOT get bruised” - one of the Cairollers team member. The team faced so many struggles along the way, primarily because clubs in Cairo didn’t not accept women to play such a sport on their courts.
